Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

Please follow directional signs as you navigate your way through the Library. The Library also continues to provide remote reference services and access to electronic resources.


Please check back for future updates regarding library hours and services. However, there are librarians available Monday - Saturday 24 hours a day via chat to answer questions and help with research.


The library will continue to offer book pickup service for students and employees between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday - Friday. Books can be requested through the online catalog. You will receive an email when the item is ready to pickup at the 1st Floor Circulation Desk.

If you have a book or DVD that needs to be returned, you can leave it in one of 2 book drop locations:

  • Library West Wing Exit (next to the doors on the Smith and MC Quad)
  • Next to the 3rd Floor Information Desk


The library will resume our Faculty Delivery Service. Requested items will be delivered to your office within 1 business day.


Interlibrary Loan services are currently limited to digital article requests only. Book requests have been suspended until further notice.


  • Library Orientations: A series of videos covering topics normally taught in our in-person orientations for English 150 classes.
  • Begin Your Research: A self-paced tutorial to help students starting the research process.

Coronavirus Research Database ProQuest

Includes coverage of the COVID-19 outbreak, this database curates openly available content related to coronaviruses. It includes thousands of open-access articles from the world’s leading publishers as well as current research from pre-print repositories such as arXiv and will continue to grow and evolve as more is learned about the pandemic.

Coronavirus Topical Guide Associated Press

The Associated Press has prepared a guide based on the AP Stylebook and common usage in AP stories to help with coverage of the new coronavirus disease.
